LOST IN MY IMAGINATION

LOST IN MY IMAGINATION.....LOST ON MY COMPUTER.  Lost time spent looking for files....H E L P !!  I knew I had to get something on my blog this morning and wanted to put the collage I finished that was done at the same time as my last posted collage...but I couldn't find it. But I did find pictures of the Homecoming Parade that I took last week.  I thought I filed them in my Facebook file..but lo and  behold there they were under BLOG..Too much, too many.  I bought an external storage for all my pictures in case my PC ever decides to dump all my files. I have that all screwed up too.  Loose files, duplicate files.  I really need to take a class on how to save your files with some sort of something that makes sense......My camera downloads to a KODAK program.  Every download is filed by date unless I add a name which I never do..My PC has files under my pictures according to the group that I want to share with. FLICKR, ETSY, BLOG, FACEBOOK etc. Then I have files for every member of my family to save pictures of their kids and grandkids. I have to change the size of most pictures I upload but I have to be careful not to change anything I might want to print so in most cases I have two sizes.....S I G H..........I wish I could just start over..but be careful what you wish for or you could loose it all...eeekkk.

The external hard drive that I bought a couple of years ago is called THE BOOK it cost less than two hundred dollars and I am sure is way less today. I sleep better at night knowing I have a back-up system but not everything gets put on there.  Time....Here is a little hint for you...for Twenty-five dollars a year..FLICKR will save your pictures for you.  My brother pays Fifty-dollars a year for an on line service to save his stuff. Lets face it, all of it takes ..................................................T I M E...........gotta go...........hugs, Diane

Heyjupiter/Cassandra

I have been wanting to share the framed collection of ACEO'S that I have from one of my favorite artist.....Cassandra. I framed all three of her cards together and added alittle BLING. I wanted to enjoy them and share them with others and still keep them safe and dust free. This was also my first photography/lighting project. My husband brought me some Shop lights, and I clipped one on the shelf next to my project and the other one I hand held. My camera being on a tripod. I was very happy how it turned out and the photograph without any glare on the glass.

Jewels Of The Sea Swap #3

Ok....here are my last 3 pendants from the swap.
The first one pictured is from Jullie. It is very delicate and hard to photograph. It has a beautiful Mermaid in the top and an awesome silver fish and crystals in a lovely shade blue. The second picture is presented on a cool ATC. I didn't photograph but the back is a playing card with the number 3 and an Octopus on it...don't know what game it might have been from but it fit the theme. She made the sea weed element out of some type of clay and added real shells and some copper and brass shells too. Very cool, all that and then the pendant, which is a shell with pearls and crystals and a very pretty copper starfish. Love it Lisa.... You can see her work at http://www.onestaraway.com/

Jewels Of The Sea Swap #2

Here are 3 of the 6 pendants that I received. First of all I want to say they were all wonderful..This was my first swap in the Blog world and I really loved it. Speckled Egg did a great job sorting and distributing everything.. What fun she must had had.

The top one was made by Jenny at www.fatedfolliesstudio.blogspot.com She really did an outstanding job. She put so much work into each one. She made six and each box was papered, with lace and a fun top. Then she decorated the card to hold the pendant with lovely paper and a miniature print of the swap photo on the back. Oh.....and did I say the pendant was lovely. And if you want a good LAUGH...CHECK OUT HER BLOG. Let her know Diane sent You..

The second picture is a metal pendant that says Seas with fun little shells and net and beach glass. The little satin bag filled with little glass pebbles and the drift wood topping was fantastic. It was made by Amy but I lost her address in the mess of my studio. If someone could get it to me I would appreciate it.

The third one was beautiful with crystal and pearls in the prettiest shade of blue and a silver shell on the end..It was attached to a very pretty tag that looked like the ocean. Lovely. Check out Ledie's work at www.junkgirl66@yahoo.com. I will post the next three in a day or so.

Jewels Of The Sea Swap

Well I received my returns from Heather at Speckled-egg, and I want to say they are all wonderful. My friend Roc asked how I could wait to open them until I had the time to photograph them...she is just like my sister, she always opened Christmas packages the minute they arrived at her house. I quit sending the kids gifts to her house and started sending them to my Mom's so she and the kids could open them there Christmas day...I guess its because the wrapping is so pretty that I like to look at them awhile.
