Make a Crown

This is a crown that I made awhile back. I was going through some of my old pictures on my PC and thought I would like to share it with all of you. It was my one and only creation of this kind. Sometimes it is just too much fun to try something new and different. I didn't have the slightest idea how it would be made. I had a few failed attempts and this was my finished beauty. The picture in the middle is the finished back of the crown. The finished project was a little heavy, but it was fun to make. Try one. Art Hugs, Diane

Not All Feb. Birthdays

This is the cake we had at our family party on Saturday the 14th. of February. Everything has fallen apart in a little over a week. My 90 year old father got sick and had to be take to urgent care by my nephew. He should have been admitted to the hospital but has a little dog so he wanted to go home. He is weak and shaky and I am worried about him living alone.
My mother fell, she is 82 and lives alone. She called my sister-in-law(who has a horrible cough and cold) at 10 p.m. to call the ambulance and take her to the ER. She was lying in the ER all nite until almost 4:00 p.m. the next day because they didn't have a room to put her in..........then the worst of all this is my lovely brother is very sick and had to be taken to the VA (by my still sick sister-in-law) and was admitted and had a CT scan. He started with a ear problem. Got the sore throat, his ear drum burst and he has infection thu out his body giving him blisters on his face and in his mouth from the herpes virus. eeeeeeekkkkkk. He has a weak immune system from chemo and has been in remission from lymphoma for a year now...Please pray for my brother. He has been thru so much.

Star of the Circus

When I was a child I went to see the Barnum and Baily Circus. It was so exciting. The energy level was amazing and I loved the animals the most. I stood 3 feet from a Tiger in a cage and couldn't believe how huge he was. His head must have been about two and a half feet across....Huge.....so beautiful. They had an elephant ride and I got to ride on one. Their hair is so stiff, not soft like it looked.

King of the Circus

Yes I do love my 4 x 4 Chunky book pages...they are so fun and all the fluffy yarn and beads. When you get them all together with a ring binder they are so cool. Six or seven make a really fun size. This was part of a 6 x 6 swap I am in.

Circus Circus Circus

These are three of the six Chunky Book pages I made for a swap. Of course the theme was
Circus. I love the vintage images I found in a book I bought at Barns and Noble. "The Victorian Scrap Gallery" It is a beautiful book by Dee Davis and Gail B. Cooper. All the images are printed on one side of the page only do you can cut them out I guess, or maybe because they print better that way. I could never cut them out it is such a lovely book.

Art Trader Magazine

PUBLISHED ART
How exciting....I entered a contest in October over at Mail Art World http://www.mailartworld.com/ and even thought I didn't win the contest my Postcard was published in the ART TRADER MAGAZINE http://www.arttradermag.com/ issue number 5 on page 31. Now most of you know I am not a big fan of Halloween and you know about my lovely friend Carol who was a big fan of the holiday and so you know why I entered this Halloween Postcard contest.

I am very impressed with this magazine. It is an on line magazine but I understand it is soon to go hard copy and we will be able to buy it right along with our many Somerset publications.
